FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Can one roll up a deflated air mattress in the tent floor pockets and still fit in the tent carrying bag?

A:  Yes, the tent is designed to allow one to roll up a deflated air mattress and tent together. The tent carrying bag will hold the tent, a deflated air mattress, the air pump, and the other tent components if rolled up properly.

Q: What purpose do the ties on the floor serve?

A:  The ties that are located on the perimeter of the pockets on the floor of the tent are to be used to tighten the slack out of the pockets when the air mattress is not being used. The ties can be tightened to avoid tripping on the pockets and help remove the loose material of the pockets so they are not sliding around on the floor of the tent.

Q: What type of air mattress fits in the tent?

A:  The tent can accommodate any single high air mattress - up to a 9” (inch) depth.  The tent is designed to hold a single twin air mattress, 2 twins, one queen or one king air mattress.  It is recommended that air mattresses that do not have built-in pumps be used. The mattresses with the built-in pumps will fit in the tent, but add too much bulk to the tent when it is rolled or folded up.

Q:  Are there replacement parts for the tent and where can these parts be purchased?

A: Yes, there are replacement parts for the tent.  The following replacement parts can be purchased individually here, through the website: poles, stakes, carrying bags, and rain flies. Simply visit the Spare Parts tab.

Q:  How many people does the tent sleep?

A:  The tent can sleep four to five (4-5) campers.

Q:  Approximately how long does it take to set up the tent? And how many people are necessary for proper assembly?

A:  Allot 15-20 minutes for set-up.  The tent can be set-up by one (1) experienced camper; however it is easier and quicker with two (2) campers.

Q:  How often should the seam seal be reapplied?

A:  Frequency of reapplication will vary based upon the frequency of tent usage, however it is recommended to reapply the seam seal once per season.

Q: Should a tarp be used under the tent?

A: Yes, it is recommended that a plastic tarp be used under the tent for supplemental protection against moisture.
